Autocar Excellence’s Commitment to Accessibility

Autocar Excellence is committed to creating a culture of inclusion and accessibility.  We will contribute to making Canada a barrier-free country for all by developing an accessibility framework that helps employees and the public we serve benefit from the best possible experience with our services, products, and facilities.

Autocar Excellence will build on current efforts as we develop our initial accessibility plan, as required by the Accessible Canada Act. This accessibility plan will support our organization in meeting its accessibility commitments and in fostering a culture centered on accessibility.

To address gaps in these areas, it is important to recognize and understand the needs of persons with disabilities. For this reason, this plan has been developed in consultation with employees who self-identify as having a disability, through employee surveys. In addition, we have consulted with local external organizations that serve persons with disabilities as part of the development of this plan.  (Accessibility Plan | Accessibility Plan – Large Print)

To learn more about the progress we have made in meeting our commitment, read our 2025 Progress Report | 2025 Progress Report – Large Print.

Here is a summary of the initial opportunities:

  • Improve the attractiveness of employment opportunities within our company for persons with disabilities.
  • Adapt access points and signage at our facilities.
  • Modify our facilities for better accessibility.
  • Be better prepared to provide adaptive work equipment and maximize the use of digital environments.
  • Promote internal processes and policies adapted to persons with disabilities.
